Life in Death! a triumph over tragedy

This picture features my wonderful sons, lovingly kissing their mother, Adriana. My late wife and I were married for 30 years, and this photo was the celebration of the renewal of our vows.

We enjoyed a great life together, raising 5 children together, starting a business with nothing and building it into a success that spanned close to 30 years. Although we had no business acumen, we loved people, so we built our business on that love, and it flourished.

Life was good, and then this woman who believed that I could do anything, the mother that nurtured and loved her children, the volunteer that changed a community and the daughter that cared for her ailing parents, was dying.

This picture masks the pain and suffering that Adriana went through after being bitten by an ant, which led to serious health problems, that would slowly destroy every organ in her body over 6 years.

The pain was immense, yet Adriana, never complained, never blamed and never got angry…not even at the ant.

Her smile personified her character and truly changed everyone’s life that she came into contact with.

After burying Adriana, in 2020, I was lost and my family devastated, but God still covered us.

At the time of her death, we did not have life insurance and had accumulated millions in medical cost, a friend helped us by paying it all, with no expectation.

Although our debt was paid, I was still lost, seeking purpose, I knew that my gift was to help others but how, where and who.

Next, learn how God led me to places that I could have never imagined.
